Introduction

The main deity of the Navagrahas – the Sun is the only visible form of God that can be seen by us. The Sun has been described in the Vedas as the soul of the world and the eye of the creator. Hence, sages accepted the Sun as the first and greatest deity and worshipped him to get the divine blessings. In Sanskrit, there are many names for the Sun, the commonest among them are Surya, Ravi, Adithya, Bhaskar, etc. In your birth chart, the Sun signifies vitality, your personality, general health, father, authority, high position, public image, government job, etc. If Surya is debilitated or afflicted by other planetary aspects it may give inauspicious results in the above areas of life.
